Tiny MDM & Device Provisioning Guide
Phase 1: Tiny MDM Portal Setup
- Create User: Go to Tiny MDM and create an Anonymous User.
- Select Policy: Select the Policy you wish to use.
- Assign Group: Assign the user to the group they should be associated with.
- Generate QR: Click on Show QR Code.
Phase 2: Initial Device Setup
- Factory Reset: Start by performing a Factory Reset on the device.
- Trigger QR Scanner: At the 'Hi There' page, tap 6 times in the same place to launch the QR Code Config Scanner.
- Scan: Scan the setup QR code for the user.
- Connect: Connect to Wi-Fi. (After scanning the QR code, you will be prompted to join Wi-Fi).
- Provisioning: The device will connect to Wi-Fi and Tiny MDM to start provisioning.
Phase 3: Completing Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts on the device:
- Organization: 'This device belongs to your organization' -> Click Next.
- Loading: Device will do some loading of things.
- Work Device: 'Let's set up your work device' -> Click Accept & Continue (054).
- Privacy: 'This {Device Name} isn't private' -> Click Next.
- Tiny MDM: Click Begin.
- User Data: Personal and sensitive user data -> Click I Agree.
- Policy: Privacy and Data Security Policy -> Click I Agree.
Troubleshooting: "Not Enough Licenses" Error
- Purchase or get more licenses.
- At the link, this device to the end user screen.
- Scan User QR Code again.
- Finalizing: Device will now load Tiny MDM and Profile.
- Optimization: 'For a better experience...' -> Click Turn On.
- Confirmation: 'Congratulations!' -> Click Start using the App.
- Updates: Checking for Updates.
- Google Services: Click More 3 times, then click Accept once.
- Desktop: Should get taken to the TruAge desktop. Wait for the TruAge App to come up on desktop.
Phase 4: MScan Configuration
MScan Configuration:
- Profile Default: Clipboard Output - Enable
Settings:
- Enable MScan
